The Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society was founded in 1882 to support Orthodox pilgrimage and spiritual and scholarly life in the Holy Land. Today the Society continues that work through its offices in Jerusalem and Munich — from caring for the Alexander Compound and the Saint Elizabeth Sisterhood to educational, scholarly, and cultural initiatives.
